SUMMER ART CAMP @ Rockville High School
 |
"Learning and understanding the basics of art is a lesson all young people will take with them into adulthood. The goal of House of Artistry through ART CAMP & Rockville High School is to provide students a strong foundation to build on." Ron Loyd and Jodi Walsh
A professional team of experienced art instructors will provide a wide variety of mixed media programs to stimulate and inspire young creative minds. The facilities at RHS have spacious classrooms and studio space with state-of-the-art equipment.
Students will discover creative techniques in drawing, painting, collage, clay and sculpture through a wide variety of age appropriate projects. Discovering new ways to arrange compositions with mix media, constructing unusual and challenging crafts is inspiring and challenges young minds.
Producing a claymation DVD movie includes creating storyboards, building sets, making clay characters and recording voiceovers. Whether etching on plexiglas, linoleum cuts or monoprint, printmaking will bring a new appreciation to this fine art medium. Photography will introduce students to composition with a camera and darkroom techniques for printing a photo image. New this year will be Digital Arts. Featured will be age appropriate projects using Photoshop and Powerpoint software.
