Camp Director: Ceramics, Claymation, Digital Art

Ron Loyd has been teaching art at Rockville High School since 2001. He is currently Head of the Fine Arts Department . He teaches AP Studio Art, IB Visual Art, Ceramics, Painting, Studio Art and Digital Arts.

He has a BFA and MFA in Painting and Ceramics from Texas Tech University. He has studied Animation at the School for Visual Arts, New York, NY and Film Studies at New York University, New York, NY.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Selected as a 2004 Fulbright Memorial Fund Teacher Fellow and Washington Post Fellow.

Implemented worldwide corporate identity standards program. Supervised Annual Report, Winner of 1998 Ace Awards, Business Marketing Association / New York. Developed a Best Practices web site for technology spokesperson Christine Comaford. Co-Founder and Managing Editor of Synercom’s Spatial Systems Journal.

Tutored world-renowned artist Philip Pearlstein for his first laser CD “Drawing the Figure”. Coordinated music videos for Andy Warhol’s Factory and Island Record’s Will Powers. Supervised album covers for CBS Records and MCA’s Joe Ely.
